The McDonald´s secret

The McDonald´s secret

Hey guys, today i´m going to talk to you about McDonald's and why it is so popular.
We all know McDonald´s, it's one of the most famous companies in the world. McDonald´s have more than 1.700.000 workers around all the world and they have more than 36.000 restaurants in 109 countries. The first restaurant was opened in 1940 and produce more than$ annually, but why McDonald´s? Why not Burger King or KFC?
During his history, McDonald´s was not as famous as nowadays, but, they knew how to increase benefits.
In the beginning, McDonald´s had good benefits but not excelente, in 1940, it was bad seen that someone ate in excess and, though they were purifying the last crumbs of the hamburgers
and the last drops of the refreshments, they didn't ask for more. When they realised that, they knew what to do. They added to the menu hamburgers XL, XXL, and in some restaurants XXXL.

They added too complements like chicken wings or nuggets, making you eat more without feeling bad, and the benefits of McDonald´s increased.
That is not the only way that they have obtained their reputation, McDonald´s have a great advertising  campaign behind his great success: The playgrounds, the colours red and yellow, the almost missed Ronald McDonald´s and the new toys in the Happy Meal make that thousand of children wants to go to McDonald´s and, they will be accompanied by their parents what means more benefits,

But there is something more than a good marketing strategy, and the reason why we all love McDonald´s food is because they put Monosodium glutamate in all their products. Monosodium glutamate is a substance that creates addiction like a drug but it is completely legal, actually, we can found Monosodium glutamate in fruits and vegetables too. That is why many people say that funk food is a drug, because practically, it is.
So the benefits of McDonald's were achieved thanks to a very good advertising campaign, a good product, a good service, a great idea and some help given by Monosodium glutamate.

See you in my next post.

Hey guys, in today's post I will be giving you 10 curiosities or surprising facts about a very special country, North Korea.

As you all probably know, North Korea is presided by Kim Jong-Un, a dictator who has left North Korean apart from the rest of the world.
So here are the 10 curiosities:

  • It's funny the fact that the full country's name is Democratic People's Republic of Korea, because there is only one possible president to vote for, Kim Jong-Un.
  • They use a different and unique calendar, which started from the founder's birthday. For example, now they are in the year 106.
  • They have their very own time zone. Kim Jong-Un decided to change 30 minutes on the time so that they don't have the same time than Japan.
  • They built an empty city next to the frontier with South Korea so that they could attract them. It's a ghost city, nobody lives there. Lights are switched on and off automatically and streets are cleaned so that it looks like a normal city.
  • If someone commits a crime, the 3 next generations will also be punished. What does this mean? In other words, the criminal's sons and grandsons will be punished for their familiar crime. This is because Kim thinks they are also guilty. Weird, right?
  • Weed is legal, which is really strange considering the fact that there are lots of restrictions in this country. Kim Jong-Un even recommends it, as he said it is healthier than tobacco.
  • Internet is only for govern members and workers, and most of social media networks and international webs are censured in North Korea.
  • There are almost no lights at night, as there is no enough energy for this.
  • People can only wear 15 different styles of haircuts, and Kim Jong-Un's peculiar one is not available.
  • North Korea has only 3 TV channels, which again shows how limited is North Korea.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post, if so leave a comment and stay connected for the next post.

Bitcoins: Digital gold

Hey guys, today I want to teach you many interesting things about cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin.
Do you know what a dolar, a pound or a euro is? It's just a piece of paper or metal where is written a amount. All right, now I'm sure that you have wondered about why we give that importance to that simple thing.
Bitcoin's value isn't fixed because the amount of coins that can exist is limited. Now a days, the limit is at 21 000 000 Bitcoins. Now, when I'm writing this post the price of a bitcoin is about 2000€  and it will probably rise in the future.
How bitcoins work? That's a complex process because a bitcoin is created by an algorithm. It's a mathematic formula. And when more bitcoins are generated, the next bitcoins are a bit harder to calculate. So, when more bitcoins are generated, the remainings are harder and more expensive to earn.

When someone does a transaction, the data is registered on a global server. This system is called Blockchain. Is very important to keep all saved because if It's not, the data could be manipulated. This type of organisation is based on a network Peer-to-Peer (P2P)
This networks are very popular to download files. It consist on maintain all the data saved on many servers called seeds or leechers. A seed shares his file to other seed. The file is complete, but a leecher hasn't got the full file, it only has a part. So, if a file has 0 seeds, doesnt matter the amount of leecheers that exist, nobody has the full file.

This system is vital to many programs such as uTorrent. The file is saved in many servers and then it's shared to the user who wants to download it.

Finally, I want to give a important advice. There are faucet webs that are fake. So when you are going to withdraw your earned bitcoins or whaterver coin, you won't receive the payment. This type of pages are called scam. You can avoid this pages by searching opinions of people that use that web. I have been scammed about 0.0002 bitcoins that I worked for earn it.

Well, in the next post I'm going to talk about how to earn FREE bitcoins and doges. Why doges? Because this coin has increased his value.
See you soon!

George Best

Hey guys, in today's sport post I'll be writing about George Best's live.
First, who was George Best?
George was a really famous soccer player from Northern Ireland.
He was born in Belfast in 1946. During his childhood, he played for his local soccer team, the Cregagh Rangers Biys.
He started to skip his classes when he was 11 in order to play soccer. He also had very serious problems with alcohol in his teen years.
Many teams rejected him beacause of his low height. But a scout from Manchester United watched him playing in Belfast and he said he had found a genious.
So he went to Manchester only 15 years old, in 1961.
He played his first Premier League game in 1963, with 17 years.
In 1966, he was considered a soccer star, with only 19 years.
He had a serious knee injury which left him 1 year out of the football pitchs.
In 1968, Manchester United won its first Champions League, with Best leading the team.
Best won his first and last Golden Ball in 1968. But it was at this moment when this star started to fall.
Hist last match with Manchester United was in 1974. After his departure, Manchester United went to the Second League.
After this, he went to many soccer teams, but in all of them he was critized for his bad behaviour.
He retired from football in 1982, aged 36.
Resultado de imagen de George BestHe died in 2005, due to his alcohol problems.  A lot of people went to his funeral, wanting to say goodbye to one of the greatest players of all times.
So this was today's post, I hope you enjoyed it, if so leave a comment, and stay connected for more posts tomorrow.

In today's posts I will be talking about volcanoes, giving you some really interesting information and facts about them.

First, what is a volcano?

  • A volcano is a mountain with a hole in the top that sometimes sends out materials such as rocks, lava, ash, etc. in a sudden explosion.
Volcano in eruption
A volcano is active if it is erupting lava, and a volcano is "slept" if it hasn't erupted for a very long period of time. But a volcano never dies, in other words, it can erupt in every moment, so this is one reason why houses shouldn't be set up near them

How are volcanoes formed?

  • Volcanoes are formed when magma from the inside the Earth goes up to the surface, creating a mountain and breaking it up in the eruption

Where and why are most volcanoes located?
  • Most volcanoes are located close to plate tectonics, which are zones in the Earth's surface with a high tendency to have earthquakes, tsunamis,...
  • The countries with more volcanoes are USA, Russia, Japan, Chile and Mexico.
Famous eruptions:
  • Mount Vesuvius (Pompeii): This famous eruption took place in Pompeii, Italy, in A.D 79. This eruption took by surprise to the inhabitants of the area, who were covered by ash. This is why the were converted into ash statues, which are still conserved today.
  • Krakatoa (Indonesia): This eruption took place in an island in Indonesia, in 1883. The sound of the eruption was heard in really far away places like Africa. There were more than 36.000 deaths. Krakatoa, the island, was swallowed by the ocean.

So this was today's second post, I hope you enjoyed it, more posts coming tomorrow!

WannaCry virus isn't new!

Hey guys, today I'm going to explain you some interesting facts about this dangerous threat. I would like to explain it to a general public, so everyone should understand it.

First of all, I want to make clear the concept of informatic virus. A virus is a informatic program, who wants to modify your system. Other name for it is malware.

If I say the word hacker, most people is going to imagine a dangerous criminal. It's a wrong thought because a hacker is a person with high level of informatic knowledge (It doesn't means a criminal).
There are many types of hackers:

  •   White hat hackers: They are "the goods". They try to find vulnerabilities on webs or programs. Then, they notify the bug to the developer to help him.
  • Black hat hackers: This type of hacker is the most dangerous to a internet user. They just want to cause damage. They sometimes hijack you to get your ransom (your cash). Some virus, such as WannaCry, are created by them.
  • Hacktivists: This are a very important part of the hacker community. They work for political purposes such as fight against goverment crimes. One example of them are the hacker group Anonymous. They are famous because of his number of hackers members. They usually carry out DDoS atacks. In future posts I will explain this atacks

Well, now let's focus on WannaCry. This virus is a ransomware. It means that the virus is going to encrypt your data. Well, encrypt is other way to say encode the data. If the virus infects you, it's going to use a exploit (a vulnerability of the system) to get the control of the system. This process is hard to explain, but that is the idea.
This type of virus has been existing since 1989! WannaCry has got fame because it has impact in about 150 countries, and more than 200 000 people.

Now we know how it works but... Is it impossible to be safe from it? Let's talk about security methods.

Have you fed up of update your windows? Do you think that It´s unnecesary? You are wrong!
The updates have a high importance, they prevent exploits such as the ones who takes WannaCry. Microsoft has published windows updates for his OS, even the olds such as windows XP or Vista.
The way that the virus use to infect you is usually an email that if you open it, it is going to try to

Sounds very pessimistic but, If i pay, can I recover my data? Should be like that, but not always it happends. If you pay, it means that you want to keep your data, so you will be in the spotlight of black hat hackers. You will probably receive more virus because the hackers know that you can pay the rescue. The payment is in bitcoins, the most popular cryptocurrency. It's a problem because the payment is hard to track. In future post, we will explain what it is.

WannaCry has been in the news because has caused huge problems in big companies, such as Telefonica, Nissan, etc. Telefonica, has been threatened and the company had to pay 300 bitcoins. It is equivalent to about 650 000 euros!! (700 000 $). Telefonica is a big company, so the rescue is insignificant if we compare it with the data that could be lost.

1. Update your windows (or try Linux (in future post we will explain it 😁))
2. Get an antivirus software, there are powerful and free solutions.
3. Don't open suspects emails!
4. Read our blog :)

Don't forget to write a comment

In today's post, I will be writing a brief but interesting biography about Amelia Earhart, the first women to cross the Atlantic Ocean flying a plane by her own.
Amelia was born in 1898 in Atchinson, Usa. She studied Medicine in university, and she participated as a nurse in the First World War.

She became famous in 1928 when she flied from Terranova from Wales, becoming the first woman to fly over the Atlantic Ocean as a passenger, and she would become the first to cross the Atlantic by her own a few years after.

She married a famous explorer in 1931. In the next years, she realised more flights all around the Atlantic Ocean. She won a national award for her successful flights.

In 1967, she announced she was about to go around the world in her plane.
After travelling 33000 km in 30 days, her plane disappeared in a big storm close to Australia, and from that moment nothing was heard about her and her plane.

Even nowadays, we ignore what happened to Amelia, although many theories have been suggested. One of these theories is that they landed forced in Fenix Island, as they have found human bones in this island, but it hasn't been proofed that these bones are Amelia's.

I hope you enjoyed the post, stay connected for tomorrow's one!

No matter where you live, I'm sure you have heard about fidget spinners. This small gadgets are made of either plastic or metal, altough lately people are starting to make their own fidget spinners with wood and paper.

Fidget spinners are really easy to use. The only thing you have to do is to place your finger on the middle circle, and start spinning with the other hand or even with a hair dryer!

Fidget spinners were first created by an American woman who was looking for a toy that could relax her daughter. She patented the fidget spinner, but as no toy company wanted to buy her idea, she decided not to renovate the patent.

Fidget spinners's producers say that these  gadgets help hyperactive kids to relax, but scientists say that there is no real benefit. It's only a toy that have generated millions of dollars around the world. Leave a comment below showing your opinion!
