AMELIA EARHART

In today's post, I will be writing a brief but interesting biography about Amelia Earhart, the first women to cross the Atlantic Ocean flying a plane by her own.
Amelia was born in 1898 in Atchinson, Usa. She studied Medicine in university, and she participated as a nurse in the First World War.

She became famous in 1928 when she flied from Terranova from Wales, becoming the first woman to fly over the Atlantic Ocean as a passenger, and she would become the first to cross the Atlantic by her own a few years after.

She married a famous explorer in 1931. In the next years, she realised more flights all around the Atlantic Ocean. She won a national award for her successful flights.

In 1967, she announced she was about to go around the world in her plane.
After travelling 33000 km in 30 days, her plane disappeared in a big storm close to Australia, and from that moment nothing was heard about her and her plane.

Even nowadays, we ignore what happened to Amelia, although many theories have been suggested. One of these theories is that they landed forced in Fenix Island, as they have found human bones in this island, but it hasn't been proofed that these bones are Amelia's.

I hope you enjoyed the post, stay connected for tomorrow's one!
